Last night, April and Alex came over to my stepmum’s - where I’m dog sitting Digby - to swap presents and play board games. Well, one game: Pub Quiz, a game I’d bought my mum for birthday back in March. Speaking of my mum, we’d also bought Cranium earlier that day so we could play it with my Grandparents on Christmas Day.

This got me thinking about what other Christmas party games we could play with our families on Christmas Day, preferably ones that don’t require carrying any extra boxes with us. Here’s are the Christmas party games I came up with:

20 Questions: Christmas Edition

One player must pick a Christmas character or object, then the other players must ask questions that can be answered with “yes” or “no”. If nobody guesses the character or object before twenty questions have been asked they lose.

Christmas Charades

This is pretty much charades, but Christmas themed. You can choose any Christmas character you can think of, and whoever guesses wins.

Would I Lie To You At Christmas?

Okay, I think I’ve made the title of this game up but the premise may be pretty familiar. Each person should name three of the worst Christmas presents they’ve ever received, two should be real and one must be a lie. Each person should then mark down which ones they think are a lie, the person with the most right answers wins.

Christmas Carol Pictionary

Pictionary is one of the funnest party games ever invented, so why not switch up the cards for a list of Christmas Carols you have to act out?

Who Am I?

This is one of my favourite party games ever - It’s that one where everyone writes a character on post-it notes and sticks each one on someone’s forehead. Each person must then try to figure out who’s name has been stuck to their forehead. Try to make it Christmas themed, of course.
