Hola everyone!
I’m currently on a train to Manchester and it’s inexplicably boring, so I thought I’d share some of the photographs I took of the show houses I visited this weekend! I absolutely love going to see show houses as I consider interior design as creative as paintings, music, theatre and everything in between. Plus, I’m seriously nosy and I like exploring houses before they become homes, and I probably won’t be allowed in to judge the decor once a family lives in there.
Of course, as with every trip I make into the outside world, I have a bit of an odd story. On Saturday, I got to meet and speak with an estate agent who claims to be psychic. The woman, who was extremely lovely and very good at her job, explained to my grandparents and I that she had experienced a couple of events during which her premonitions had changed or even saved her life. For instance, she told us that she had been in a car accident that she would have been killed in if she hadn’t listened to her gut and switched seats with another woman.
Obviously I asked her about her views on crystals and she explained to me that she actually used to be a healer, a decision she made after visiting a psychic at seventeen. Using the power of crystals, she explained, she’d managed to give a woman with leukaemia an extra five years of life despite the fact doctors had given her months to live. All in all, it was an extremely interesting conversation though I still think that crystals cause placebo effects not miracles.
Sunday’s estate agent was a little less enthralling though she did abruptly stop speaking to my grandparents to tell me that she recognised me from somewhere and ‘knew my face’. Needless to say I’d never seen the woman before in my life, but she seemed adamant that we’d met so that was also a little strange. She also informed me that grey is the new magnolia so that was exciting.
Anyway, here are the photos I took of the incredible interior design featured in the three show homes I visited. I hope you like them as much as I do!
