A New Year
Aloha! Apologies for my absence recently, it’s difficult to keep on top of your online life when that pesky reality keeps wading in like it owns the place. I hope you had a wonderful christmas and a drunken New Year, I know I did!
Despite the fact we’re only a month in I have to say: 2015 is going rather well. I entered this year with a sense of hope and determination that is yet to wither, if anything it’s growing larger every day. Already I have been asked to participate in multiple projects, including covering some local events and even a little something on television if all goes to plan.
Anyway, here are some photos of how my year is going so far, some are photographic evidence of adventure but as usual most of them are pictures of coffee or selfies:
The Lake District

For my aunt’s 50th - I won’t say which in case she hunts me down - my cousins organised for us to go to Windermere in the Lake District and spend the weekend in a beautiful house near the lakes. The house was a modern cottage filled with an array of Chinese furniture and trinkets from vases to wardrobes.
The scenery was pretty nice as well…
We also went to Holbeck Glynn, where Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan filmed an episode of The Trip once. It was really lovely, and they even trusted me to toast my own marshmallows. I didn’t do a lot of toasting however, because I have more faith in my ability to burn the building to the ground than they did.
I have never taken much notice of the New Year traditions, and I have certainly never made an effort to mentally separate the years or set up boundaries in my mind between spaces in time but it seems to have done me some good this year. Last year I was broken hearted and naive. This year I am strong, independent and never lost as long as I have confidence in myself and my path. Yes, I fear I may be becoming one of those people.
Apologies,
