November has been busy.
April and I went to Spain (read my Madrid Travel Diary here), I visited Amartya in Stoke-on-trent and I shopped the Black Friday sales like a pro!
So, a day after I returned from Madrid I hopped on a train from Hull to Manchester where I learnt that nobody should ever get a train to Manchester. Not only was my train running an hour late before we even left Yorkshire, there was a broken down train outside Huddersfield which slowed the whole process down further. Eventually, my train was so late that it got cancelled and I was stranded in Stalybridge in the rain for half an hour until a replacement train came. Fortunately, I did manage to get to Stoke-On-Trent and the next day Amartya and I decided to visit Hanley and Birmingham!
Of course, there was another problem on the train home however this time it was my fault as I accidentally bought Over-55 tickets and was fined. I am not good at trains. There was more good news when I got home though as I finally got my hair cut at an actual salon after two long years. Not any salon either: Sessions in Beverley AND by the owner Jimmy himself.
Black Friday was also very successful, so overall November has been a great month!
