Finally, it is autumn. Real, freezing, windy, cozy autumn: my favourite time of the year. In autumn there’s no need to watch what you eat, your bulk could be down to variety of factors: layers of cardigans or the concealment of twenty hot water bottles to keep you warm. In autumn there’s no need to try to look your best because you can guarantee the weather is going to ensure you look Old Gregg from The Mighty Boosh by the end of the day: all wild, unruly, matted hair and smeared makeup. In autumn, you come home to warmth and cups of coffee with a relief you can’t quite experience in summer, when everything is hot and lovely.
October it’s self is a particularly wonderful month because it’s the one month of the year when regular folk get well and truly weird. This Halloween April and I ventured out to a local nightclub where I got shot by plastic revolvers on multiple occasions, saw dwarves dressed as Jigsaw and hid behind April whilst we passed clowns. It was very fun, although I did miss watching horror movies with Rosy.
October also brought two new lights into my life: Pixel and Rocket. Yes, I am a weird rodent lady apparently.
Despite the fact multiple people told me that animals from Pets At Home simply don’t live very long I decided to go back and buy two gerbils. I figure that even if they don’t live long lives, I can at least make sure they have a nice home whilst their days dwindle. They seem healthy, but then so did Anya, and they have a rather large gerbilarium with various toys. I think they’re happy, and I certainly am.
