When it comes to makeup most of it seems pretty self-explanatory, right? Primer primes, concealer conceals, eyeliner lines the eyes and so on. Well, I asked Amartya to do the My Boyfriend Explains The Purpose Of Makeup Tag and apparently this is not the case.
PRIMER: Is this the name of a company? No? Judging by how you paint walls I would say foundation?
FOUNDATION: Oh! Foundation is a thing? For makeup, isn’t it? It’s the layer you put on before all your other artsy stuff. It prepares your skin.
POWDER: To powder your skin? Well I don’t know what it does, you put it on after foundation. You put powder on so you don’t see any skin, that’s the look people go for. Powder absorbs the remaining makeup paraphernalia that a woman has?
CONCEALER: So… primer, foundation, powder… why would you want to conceal something on your face? Is it for wrinkles? Are you typing everything that comes out of my mouth?
BRONZER: Who? Bronzer? I’ve got no idea what that means? You want to make your face more bronze, I don’t know why? More tan?
BLUSHER: You put it on so you look like your blushing 24/7.
HIGHLIGHTER: I think it goes on the eyes. It kind of highlights things, highlights more eyes? Sort of borders everything.
MASCARA: Same thing. Put it on your eyes. Makes your eyes more black I suppose.
EYESHADOW: I have proper grief with eyeshadow, I don’t know why women have this. Why would you want shadows on your eyes? I don’t see any reason why anyone would do this before going out, why are you trying to be Picasso I don’t get it. EYESHADOW: IT SHADOWS YOUR EYES.
EYELINER: What’s with the eyes? How prominent do you want your eyes to be? They’re there we can see your eyes. Eyeliner is like when you underline a word for emphasis, like here’s my eyes SEE THEM.
BROW PENCIL: Why would you touch your eyebrows their fine? There’s something wrong if you need to draw your eyebrows on. Just put it on the eyebrow. Anything to do with makeup is about making things more prominent than they need to be.
LIPSTICK: To make your lips look red, green, purple or black? It’s just more washing up to do on the cups, but I think some women use lipstick because they have dry lips?
SETTING SPRAY: Okay, well I guess everything is very unstable in the facial region after all this so you spray it so it sets, like hairspray. I’m never buying you makeup.
BB CREAM: I don’t know. I have got no idea what BB cream is. You already have so much stuff on your face how’re you going to fit the cream on? Is it like moisturising cream? This is bollocks.
If you’ve already done this tag please leave your blog below so I can read it, I think they’re hilarious! If you’re yet to do the tag, I tag you!
