Zara’s Ungendered Line: Bold or Boring?

Zara’s new Ungendered line is dividing opinion.

In a world where many of us recognise that gender is fluid, it’s about time more clothing brands released unisex collections and stopped subjecting everyone to the idea there are only two genders by separating clothing into exclusively ‘mens’ and ‘womens’ sections.

Zara is helping to break down these stereotypes by releasing their brand new Ungendered clothing line. The collection features sixteen pieces of non-binary clothing, including all the basics: t-shirts, jeans, tops, hoodies and joggers. I have a personal vendetta against Bermuda shorts, but that’s literally the only piece in the collection that I’m not keen on. Although, this may be because there’s not really a lot going on designwise. What do you think?

If Zara’s ungendered designs are a little too bland or masculine for your taste, there are plenty of non-binary brands around the internet with a bit more flare. Here are a few of the best!
