June 2016 has been an extremely busy month! Between writing (and crying) about Brexit and covering online bingo bonuses, I’ve been milling around the West Midlands and Yorkshire visiting zoos, cities and show houses.

Kidney Antics

The month began with my mum’s minor surgery as she had to have a new AV fistular put in so she can start dialysis, but don’t worry I’ve not added any pictures of that. Also, for the love of god never Google image search ‘fistular’, it will ruin your life. The next day we had to go to St Jimmy’s in Leeds so she could sign consent forms regarding the deceased donor list as kidney failure requires more paperwork than space travel. Amartya came down that weekend as he had a cricket game and we decided to go out down Newland with April, Anupam, Joe and his friend Andy.

Interior Design & Spiders

The following weekend I spent most of my time with my Grandparents skulking around show houses for decoration inspiration. If you saw my post earlier in the month, you’ll know how incredible the interior design was, that I met a psychic estate agent and that grey is the new magnolia. I also went to Spider’s with April, Abbey and Jacob on the Saturday night, but it was shit.

Stoke-On-Trent & Chester

On the 13th, I travelled down to Stoke-On-Trent for Amartya’s birthday. Being me, I forgot his birthday present but it forced me to punch my anxiety right in the face and visit Intu Potteries in Hanley all on my own. We then spent the weekend at Bawn Lodge in Chester, and visited Chester Zoo, the cathedral, a falconry - where I got to hold a falcon, a snake and an African snail - and the river which we went boating on. It was terrifying. There are roughly one hundred photos of animals at Chester Zoo alone below: it’s an amazing place!

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Unfortunately, I had to come back to Hessle the following Monday but I did manage to have an entire day devoted to work. Things really picked up again this week as my Mum, Sarah and I decided to visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park. There are another sixty-odd photos of animals from there including a posing tiger, polar bears having a barney, giraffes munching on leaves and a very sociable meerkat.

Game Of Thrones Finale & IKEA

My month ended with the Game Of Thrones finale, which April and I watched in astonishment, and a trip to IKEA where I had a particularly faffy ordeal with a plant pot hanger.
