Paris Hilton has had her finger in many pies over the years since she first became famous around the turn of the millennium when The Simple Life hit our TV screens.
The socialite and heiress has been a model, an ‘it’ girl, a singer and a reality TV star. In the last few years, she’s also shown her entrepreneurial skills, building up a world famous retail brand called Paris Hilton. There are now more than 45 Paris Hilton stores around the globe, all of them selling fashion accessories such as footwear, handbags, perfume and watches.
Not content with running a $100 million retail business, Paris is also a DJ, and reportedly gets paid between $100,000 and $300,000 per set at different venues around the world. This is one busy girl! And this year, she’s added another string to her bow by becoming a brand ambassador for bgo. This is a role that fits her image of living an extravagant lifestyle perfectly. She’s perfectly suited to the glamour that traditionally accompanies the idea of playing casino games.
Playing her part as brand ambassador just as she does in real life, Paris wants to be the boss of bgo and she’s currently vying for the top spot, looking to dethrone the first bgo ambassador, actor Verne Troyer. He’s not impressed, though, as he’s always been the bgo Boss. Of course, it’s all just a bit of a laugh – as this blogpost from bgo demonstrates – but you can certainly see why Paris has the right credentials to be the boss. She’s a born leader, knows all the right people and carries it all off in superb style. Verne had better watch out!
Paris obviously leads a very glamorous lifestyle, and wants for nothing. She even had a mini-mansion built for her pooches and had upgraded it recently, adding in a massive flat screen TV for her doggies.

Given all that, it’s quite surprising to find out how reasonable some of the items in Paris Hilton stores actually are. If you’re in the market for a cool new handbag, for example, don’t be afraid to check out the Paris Hilton website. There are some great choices in there in the $50 - $100 range, and you’d imagine that they’ve all been vetted by the queen of style herself.
Similarly, if you’re looking for a perfect pair of shoes for a night out, then there are four pages to choose from on the Paris Hilton website, with none of them having too startling a price tag attached. In today’s world where normal everyday items can cost so much, especially if they are endorsed by a celebrity, it’s a refreshing change to see accessories associated with a name like Paris being sold at prices that are affordable for us mere mortals without a trust fund.
It also demonstrates that Paris’ success isn’t all down to being born with plenty of money. She’s obviously pretty business-savvy. While she could have chosen to focus on selling to the super-rich, she’s taken the choice of selling fashionable items at sensible prices, where there’s much more of mass-market appeal. She even saves on modelling fees for her website – she’s the only person on there!
